Nonviolent Communication (NVC) is sometimes referred to as compassionate communication. Its purpose is to strengthen our connections through the ability to inspire compassion from others and to respond compassionately to others and to ourselves. NVC guides us to reframe how we express ourselves and hear others by focusing our consciousness on what we are observing, feeling, needing, and requesting. Using NVC we are empowered to truly speak our piece with peace!

It is suggested you purchase the book Non-Violent Communication by Marshal Rosenberg if you don't already have it. Every week we will be working from the concepts taught in the book to explore and improve our ability to hear and be heard using compassion and empathy. We will post a reading suggestion before each meeting (on the Compassionate Tahoe Facebook Page).

A donation of $5-10 will be requested but is not neccessary to attend. Donations will be used to fund group expenses (such as drinks, snacks) and group activities which may arise.

Learn more at the Compassionate Tahoe Facebook Page or the Compassionate Tahoe website.
