Sacred Council of Mothers with Demitra Carter
January 24 @ 6:00 pm - 8:00 pm PST
Every Third Monday – 6pm – 8pm
For Goodness Sake
Are you a Mother who craves connection and ritual?
Do you desire to deepen relationships with fellow Mamas?
Does the Sacred way of relating, holding, and honoring space with Women speak to your Soul?
You are invited to connect in Sacred Council…
with fellow Mothers of children of all ages. In Council Style Circle, we are all equal and each of us have a unique medicine, our contribution, that nourishes the group. Come together in ritual, deep listening, and reflection…
one another… reawaken the village of women holding one another in our triumphs and defeats, support one another on our journey as Mothers. Connect with ourselves by creating the space for nourishment and fill our own cups.
Demitra Carter was born and raised in Truckee and is now raising her two beautiful children in this special place she calls home.
Demitra received a National Licensure for Massage Therapy and attained her AA in Occupational Studies at the Swedish Institute in New York City. Demitra also holds a Certificate in Childbirth Education, she focuses on Holistic Birth, Traditional Doula and Midwifery Arts – integrating Indiginous practices and holistic care. Tending to the bodies’ systems has always been something that Demitra has been drawn to. The weaving of her passion for the physical body and to be of service to the spiritual walk have led her to the path of Prenatal, Birth, and Postpartum Care. She has been practicing since 2015.
Demitra has given birth, at home, to two vibrant beings, and her focus has been on raising them for the last few years. They have been her greatest teachers and encourage her to embody the belief in the family unit being one of the most precious resources we have.
Demitra has facilitated and been a part of Women’s Circles, Rites of Passage mirroring and support groups, Mother BlessingWay ceremonies, and council in many forms, over the last 10 years. Her passion for honoring, witnessing, and holding space for Mothers as well as ritual, remembrance and community, is the seed that birthed the vision for a monthly Mamas’ council to be formed.
“I love this community and want to be a part of creating more resources for families to be nourished in sacred space with one another. My belief and value is that every moment in life is to be honored and acknowledged. Ritual, prayer, and ceremony are a major influence in the way I tend to those I love and to the spaces I hold”
